Contract Management Officer

Seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contract Management Officer (CMO) for a period of 14 months, with the possibility of 3 x 6-month extensions.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Contract administration of Hydrographic Systems Program Office (HSPO) In Service Support Contracts (HISSC) and any ad hoc contract requirements.
  • Support and process Contract Change Proposals including the development of all associated procurement documentation.
  • Contract administration support to the Engineering Annual Program of Work (EAPW) delivered by the HISSC.
  • Management of all corporate records in respect of the HISSC and EAPW.
  • Support development and implementation of strategic guidance with respect to contract administration and management.
  • Other commercial and contracting tasks as they arise eg. development of tender documentation, asset management, financial management, ITAR compliance.

Requirements:

  • Experience and relevant qualifications in commercial, finance and business support fields will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated previous contract management and contract performance experience.
  • Sound understanding of the Defence Procurement Manual and AUSDEFCON based contracts.
  • Engineering-Technical skills and relevant qualifications will also be an advantage.
  • Effective communication and commercial acumen are required.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications including MS Word and Excel. Able to produce consistent documents based on agreed templates and ensure strict formats produced. (Styles and Formatting).
  • Baseline Security Clearance.

The CMO will be supported by subject matter experts within HSPO to achieve these outcomes and would be expected to develop and maintain close working relationships with all relevant stakeholders
