A contract position to 30 Jun 19 with extension possibilities Seeking a Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to work with the team to develop a L&D Strategy to support the long-term delivery of capability.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A current Baseline Security Clearance;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry and/or domain work experience
  • A recognised project management professional qualification (such as registered project managers under Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM));
  • Current and relevant project management experience;
  • Knowledge commensurate with the skill level required of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements;
  • Understanding of the content of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and its application, the Defence project management environment (and Defence methodologies), and PMMv2;
  • Excellent report writing and communications skills;
  • High level stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Some knowledge of the Defence Learning and Development framework and application would be preferable;
  • Experience in project and/or change management would be an advantage;
  • The project to deliver the strategy is to be conducted in four parts as follows;
  • Collate competency requirements, L&D strategies, training and development opportunities and relevant information on roles and responsibilities, including a gap analysis for competencies which cannot be met from within extant positions;
  • Engage with SPO management and staff analyse the overall impact and achievability of the training program to inform SPO management and allow engagement with COE’s and other training providers; and
  • Establish a management and reporting.
