Network Security Engineer

A 12 month contract role commencing Jun 19 with possible extensions.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and define the network security requirements for the capability, validating security requirements to solution design and configurations.
  • Lead the planning and development of the network design.
  • Produce detailed component specifications and translate these into detailed designs.
  • Identify and document system, infrastructure and project interdependencies.
  • Contribute to the analysis, validation and verification of requirements.
  • Contribute to the production of project Gate 1 documentation and artefacts, including (but not limited to) the Capability Roadmap, Operational Concept Documentation, System Engineering Management Plan, and Functional and Performance Specification.
  • Ensure all work meets agreed timeframes, quality standards and quality control measures.
  • Contribute to identifying project level risks and issues. Escalate risks and issues and seek advice from the project’s team leadership.
  • Work cohesively and flexibly with the project team and manage the expectations of stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Relevant Computer Science, Engineering or Telecommunications qualifications and experience.
  • Experience with complex ICT design and project documentation development and reviews.
  • Minimum NV1 current security clearance
