Contract role seeking a Project Manager from mid August 2019 to 31 Dec 2020.

The role (more technically focused) will assist the Core Service Capability Element Lead with:

  • Understanding and tracking the services to systems relationships between End User experience and software provision, the existing systems and technical interfaces within the Core Capability
  • Coordinating the software lifecycle of applications within the Core Capability
  • The technical service interfaces between the Core Capability scope and other Capability Elements scopes and.
  • Working with technical users within the Core Capability to understand underlying opportunities and threats to Strategic Partner
  • The role will also assist with leading stakeholder workshops to confirm user needs/requirement and conduct trade

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience with Core Services and Capability (does not need to be as an ADF member, however, must be able to quickly learn, relate, apply and adapt to changes).
  • Technical experience at a mid-senior level delivering ICT systems to support software development and sustainment use
  • Technical support roles in technical delivery programs, especially managed services or software
  • General understanding of ICT system integration and small-scale project management
  • Ability to work with technical staff to understand and monitor the delivery of ICT services and the ability to develop technical Statements of Requirements or Statements of Work for software delivery projects.

Desirable Qualification/Skills/Experience

  • Good understanding of Command and Control systems, strategic networks, tactical networks, gateways, bearers, identity and access management, API based architectures, iPaaS type technologies (e.g. Service Meshes) and ICT organisations within the ADF (fixed and deployed domains) in the Joint Force operational
  • Have awareness of the ISM, the Defence Security Principles Framework, Public Key Infrastructure, ITIL, cyber security trends and cyber worthiness, architecture framework, Defence Strategic Framework, the Capability Life Cycle, development of Defence capability and
  • Have an understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, test and evaluation in development operations, ICT governance frameworks and maintenance and operations
  • Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Dev Ops would be highly
