Contract role to June 2021 seeking an ILS Expert (Level 4) to lead its Support System Team in Adelaide.

Duties may include:

  • provide leadership and management of a multi-disciplined Support System Team and coordinate program activities including support to strategic planning, governance functions and human resource management;
  • be accountable to lead a team, allocate work, resources and tasks; set work area priorities, develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes;
  • manage workflows and resources, prepare work area and team plans detailing measurable milestones and expected outcomes;
  • communicate Design for Supportability (DfS), Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) and ILS Product requirements and understand legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks;
  • evaluate technical deliverables to ensure alignment with project objectives;
  • review, analyse and report upon submarine DfS, LSA and ILS Product development activities during the acquisition phases;
  • build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at the strategic and operational level; and
  • manage and plan supportability related Science & Technology (S&T) activities.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • must be able to meet the indicative service /tasks, outputs and performance standards of an Integrated Logistics Support Management at the skill level and minimum standards of a Level 4 Expert;
  • demonstrated experience as an ILS Lead in a large acquisition project similar in size and/or complexity to the SEA1000 Program, preferably in the maritime domain;
  • demonstrated experience and working knowledge of the principles underpinning Design for Supportability, LSA and ILS product development;
  • demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team;
  • demonstrated experience and working knowledge of ILS plans and products; and
  • demonstrated ability to establish and maintain constructive cross team communications and to engage a broader range of stakeholders and meeting critical Schedule deadlines.

Duration: 180 days from 15 September 2019 to 30 June 2020 and 230 days from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021, at the Commonwealth Offices in Dudley Park, South Australia.  There is an option to extend by a further period of 1 year at the Commonwealth’s discretion.

Must hold a current NV1 clearance or higher to be considered
